Chrome Saves the Day
Thought id share this story with you guys. On saturday i was driving to a friends house when i see the dreaded cherries flashing in my rearview mirror.
So i pulled over, cop gets out of his car walks to the front of my car looks at it and walks to my window and states license and registration please.
So being the smartass i am i asked the officer what his reasoning for pulling me over was.
He says to me "i didnt see the license plate back there but i didnt realize it was a ralli-art.
Note to all i drive a gts with an evostyle nose piece and chrome trim like the ralliart.
So i give the cop my license goes to his car to check me on the system. I also should mention my insurance slip says gts right on it which he looked at.
When he comes back he looks at me and goes how do you like the ralli-art im looking to get one.
so i had to sit there and talk bull**** to this cop about how i love the turbo awd and all i could think of to have him let me go .
Just thought id state that for $14 dollars at canadian tire you can even confuse the cops with a little chrome and paint lol

So kinda confused here, so do you have a side mount plate with the faux RA front end and he just didn't see it so he pulled you over? Or u have the faux RA front end with NO plate at all and he let u off cause he thought you were a RA? Or are you just saying it's funny that u made a cop think your GTS was a RA? Kinda confused by the title about how the chrome saved day.
Btw I got a RA with the side mount plate and get pulled over at least 2 times a month or more for the sole reason they didn't think I had a front plate.

seems like cops in toronto like the lancers... i had a ride spot check officer ask me to rev my engine and another time ride forgot to ask me if i was drinking and just talked about my car for like 10 minutes...

Exiting Whites Rd, there was a spot check, late night. So I slow down, rolled my window, he didn't ask me if I had any alcohol, ask me if it was the new Mr, just told him, I wish it was and let me go.
