FYI, Cobb downpipe won't make much power compared to stock. The stock downpipe is not that restrictive. It's the 02 housing that you need to change in order to see power gains. If your gonna get a downpipe, get a 02 downpipe.

WTF man, how can you even suggest those parts without the Access Port. Most of COBB stuff isnt worth the money wasted to make it. The access port is their only legit piece and you skip it............... i dont get it.

i am not the mitsubishi dealerships. what they stock is entirely up to them. the fact that they are stocking anything at all should be a marvel to you. the point of the thread is to raise awareness and help the dealers to understand where they should go next if it is compliant with mitsubishi warranty preservation / frame work. very few dealerships are going to stock the ap. and even still there will be restrictions.

will all do respect. i have spent lord know how many man hours getting the dealerships this far. so anything and everything they do here aftermarket is an amazing act of god

A piece of me wonders about buying mods for cars from the dealership... considering the stories you hear about warranties.

But yeah... I think AccessPort is something that will be most desired by people. Especially when you consider what it can do with minimal effort.

Then again... maybe we'll reach a point where we have "Dealer Approved" mods.

Either way... evo_soul... props to you for trying to get things going.

COBB Access Port will Void your warranty instantly. My Service department will sell it to you...but you`ll have to sign a waiver saying you take responsibility if something happens to your vehicle. If it deals with the ECU, Mitsubishi will not help you. You know that best Newb since what happened to you. We`ll happily sell stuff to anyone but we`ll caution as to if it voids warranty or not. Anything that deals with changing/flashing ECU, Tampering with the Turbo, ACD,S-AWC, Will automatically recieve a Voided warranty.

Here's something I wanna clarify. Do you mean completely void your entire warranty? Or just deny warranty claims specific to that modification?

It voids the specific component. so put a Cobb AP in and it Voids powertrain components but not your bumper to bumper components. So your Power locks and mirrors are still warrantied.

And if you look at it, its common sense, if you mess with your car in a serious way like flashing, you the owner has to deal with any damage that may result. What warranties that can be effected. Its safe to say your emissions control equipment, second would be your powertrain as well since primary and sub systems are effected by reflashing.

Mitsubishi in general has to find a balance. but that will happen in time

Dealer can only void your warranty for the Cobb AP is they know it is installed. If you uninstall it properly from your car, it undetectable.

Most people DO NOT buy their AP from the dealer, they get them directly from Cobb or aftermarket vendors, so dealers would never know.
