I know there are more of you out there. If you're one of them, post some pics of your car here, list your mods, maybe we can meet when winter's gone.

Done. 08 OB X, 1 of the first 5 evos in markham mitsubishi. I am always at fmp/highway 7, yorkdale, pmall/steeles.

Have fun with your car while its still holding itself together

Hey, they are work emotion CR kais and I current have eibachs but gonna switch to coils soon.

And the reason why I said what I said was because with a few mods my car already got tons of interior rattles. I think my Greddy is too crazy for the car, the whole car vibrates at idle..and Im not talking about the normal engine vibrations, its more like a massage chair vibration lol.

Sweet thread OP Mine's in storage as well - mine's WW. Haven't had too much of a chance to drive it last year, but hopefully will have more time this year....

So is this next meeting on the 23rd or 26th?

yea i'm curious as well. I've been looking at coils, TBH i dont want to spend more then 1,500 on it. mainly cuz i dont track like crazy.

I was looking at BC racing, and HSD, both are 1100 - 1400 range. that's all i know in that range, and it's after shipping/duty to our area.

anyone know any other brands?

and Initialdew, are your rims 19s? your car seems lower than expected with Eibach pro kit, to my knowledge it's a 1.4 - 1.5 drop in the front, and 1.2 - 1.3 drop in the rear.
i was considering the prokit too, how does it handle? better than stock? stiffer?

and aside from the rattle from the exhaust, ( i have that too, just installed my HKS hi power), did you tune the evo? any other engine mods?

rims are 18 x 9.5. I think those are the biggest size Work emotion gets and it's +20 offset also the most concave of it's kind. Yea the eibach ride pretty low (after settling), I would only say the eibachs are good for looks. Handling wise I think it's perfect for any FF cars, for the evo with awd the weight transfer seems funny at times.

I also have a Apexi power intake, I know I am at the border line of needing a tune since my car flutters bad at 5th at 3k rpm but I am not gonna get one...300hp is enough for me, don't feel like spending 1k for an extra 20~40.

In terms of build quality I would give the edge to HSD, the HR series has been around for a very long time globally, but mainly in very specific markets. EVO 1 - 9s, Subarus (especially in Austrialia) and alot of Nissan cars. the track record is there and to date there have very very little failures. I know they are out there, but I have yet to find a review of one to be bad.

I dont want to take away from BC racing, people buy their coilovers everyday. And I am sure its great for entry to mid range of coilovers. But without a doubt is likely to be the most durable and performing mid range coilover available today. I have used the kit myself and cant really say a negative about them. I am actually looking to get my hands on their higher end stuff.

Anyways my two cents. But HSD coilovers are available for the EVO X and 9 now. and the ralliart / lancer in 3 weeks.
