Is it alright to have major (type D) service done at an independent shop if they use the appropriate replacement parts/fluids?

speak to him first. let him know the mods on your car. He would tell you straight up if its safe or not. Maple doesnt B.S. around, and I have already sent other more highly modified cars there and no issues.
