Question for those who have 235/40 18" tires on Lancer

Was wondering those who were successful in fitting 235/40 18" tires without having to roll fenders, what kind of offset were the rims you were using? I am interested in doing this if I don't have to modify the fenders.

I am currently running MOMO Next 18" with offset of 45 and 8.0 that will fit 235 width tires fine. But don't know if I will have issues if I make the leap, so asking those who have made the leap on their results. Currently I find 225/45 works no problems, I would like to try 235/40 next tire change if it works.

Please comment!

I have no idea how lol

I'm running 18x8.5 +38 offset 235/40/18, Severe rubbing issues, made spaghetti out of my rear tires. I needed to roll the rear fenders.

I just started running 18x8.5 +38 offset 235/40/18 lowered on Tein S.Tech's (Exact same thing as CARVS), but I rolled the fenders at the same time! It was a $120, why not!

Its a very fine line. If you're going to push it be prepared to roll fenders or spend money buying different tires. Good luck

235/40/18 18x8 with 40ET - border line and NO fender rolling with stock susp. Have no rubbing with car fully loaded.

If comparing to Carvs set-up, his tire sticks 2mm further out than mine and is 2 mm further away from suspension than mine. As it was said before - it's a fine line.

Use this calculator: http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp I found it to be very usefull and fairly true to actual measurements.
