Anyone install a Dash Cam?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has any experience or currently has a dash cam set up in their car.

I'm thinking of installing one in my Lancer. I think my biggest concern is the wiring and trying to ensure a clean of an install as possible.

I've been looking at the DVR 027 but it seems a little bulky.

Any experiences? tips? suggestions?

I have been using a dash cam for years, and it has come in handy many times.

It is very easy to modify the 808 #16 HD keychain camera (by adding a visor clip) and use that as a dash cam. That will end up being far smaller than the other dedicated dash cams on the market.

Hard-wire in a USB power line or run one from the cigarette lighter, and you are good to go.

Thanks! I was definitely looking for something discreet. This thing looks small, keychain camera? I will definitely look into this, thanks.

Wink Appas electronics dashcam

I use this one. The install is quite clean, you can't see the cable because they are all hidden in pillars and under your carpet. You will still power using your cig lighter though. It's pretty well built and quality is more than enough. Also good warranty.
If you wanna check it out, here is the official page: APPAS dashcam official Product page
This is a little review I did for my other car Product detail and review Link

I always wanted to get a BlackVUE but still didn't make the progress... it was once a great dash cam but I've not followed for years. Anyone has it?
