Flashes are specific to a car. So in that sense, every car has a "new flash." Some other tuners promote their flashes as separate products like the "idle flash" or the gas mileage flash but the truth is, no one flash will have the same results on two cars. Once the programming to the ECU is deciphered, you just tune the car to idle good, have the appropriate AF ratio, the right timing curve, etc. It's not a "chip" or something you plug in.

Not all flashes are car specific. Some vendors may just flash your ECU and not give it a second thought... make sure the vendor tests the flash on a dyno or similar. As you can surmise mail-in flashes cannot possibly be car specific.

And mail in flashes are also not nearly as effective as custom tunes as a result of a one size fits all application. Some vendors may well indeed flash without a second thought but that doesn't make them right. You just said what I said with different words. Is there an echo in here?

The point of my post was that there are no "new" flashes. Can you give me an example?
