Higher Elevation and Boost Levels...Flash Related
ok so I live in the Pocono MOUNTAINS lol
and up here elevations range anywhere from 1100ft - 2200ft above sea level
and my boost gauge is registering about a hair close to 1.5bar(I think my gauge is off
)
I have a STOCK 05 GSR
ok now for the questions:
I want to go and raise my boost up 1 or 2psi via MBC and get a custom tuned flash...probally from TurboTrix
I believe youre at sea level or close to it and Im all the way UP here
will there be any problems??? Im thinking no because the MBC will hold the boost at whatever I set it at regardless of the elevation???
also, do I need to buy the MBC from you guys in order for you guys to install it?
or maybe you guys can set me up with something good for a Hallman MBC and Custom Tuned Flash???
TIA

I live in Edison part time and live in Effort part time, right in the Pocono Mountains.
I find when I make the trip, I'll lose about 1 PSI but if you're hitting 1.5 bar, I'd turn it down a bit. Thats a shade over 22psi so you're already running high, and on a stock map? Not adviseable.

Im bone stock
so when u make the trip and lose the 1psi...is it to edison or from edison?
also, my boost gauge is a bit off
when its doing its start up sequence and is at 0 for that brief moment its a hair above 0 so instead of reading 1.4bar at full boost it reads a hair under 1.5

You wont have a diff tune, 21psi is the same on earth as it is on the moon.. If your boost fluctuates 1psi .. i wouldnt worry about it.

I agree with that, I forgot to mention. But 22 PSI seems high to me. The tune should have a margin of safety to it, TT knows what they are doing. As far as the fluctuation, I lose 1 psi headed into the poconos, from Edison. I also see different boost levels between super cold days and warm days, of course. Same idea

wanted to hear from the man himself

Thanks!
and no im not boosting 22psi
the gauge only peaked to 1.6bar 1 or 2 times according to my peak boost on my control unit
my gauge is off by about 1psi
it consistently hits 1.5bar(but a hair under but)
and tapers down to 1.2 or 1.3bar
