Hey guys, I have a question. I have your reflash on my IX. Is the Ecutek plataform capable of 2 differet maps (one for 93 0ct and the other for race fuel)? Please let me know. Thanks

 

I asked this very question of mark when he was here last week, the answer is not yet. The subarus have this feature so I hope it will be coming to the evo soon.

 

As I recall, I think it is only for dual boost. I don't think it was for 2 different maps.

 

I think you're right, I just went to their website and it says two boost maps. I didn't read close enough and they do call it map switching, but only for boost. Thats too bad, I had hopes of one say there being a real map switching feature.

 

yeah, i believe they just tune timing/fuel to a tolerable pump level with pump boost and then just set the fuel and timing more aggressive once you pass a certain boost level that should only be run on race fuel. same map, just different parts. just don't accidentally hit that higher boost # with pump in the tank or you'll likely cause engine damage.
