stock ecu to ems to stock ecu

Heres my dilemma....I almost have enough to purchase your 50 trim turbo kit. I've spoken to a few people about what engine management to go with and they asll say aem's ems. Heres the but....I live in NY and we require for inspections the states computer to be plugged into the obd port. I know the ems eliminates that. Is there a way that i can run an ems everyday and then before inspection time swap out to the factory ecu again then back to the ems? I know it might cost a few bucks but i do wanna optimize the kit to the fullest and not be limited to running off of a flash or a piggy back.

You should have no problem doing that, just baby the crap out of the car when the stock ecu is in on the way to the inspection.

Yea, same problem in Mass. I got the 50 trim kit with the AEM. I had TT go over my stock ECU so I could reinstall it for one day. When I went for my inspection, they said all I needed was safety this year. So I won't know how it worked till next year. Some computer guru could become an instant millionare if they invented a way to beat this system for us. SO GET WORKIN' ON IT

only thing is is if you get the AEM, your likely going to go speed density, ie removing the MAF.

The stock ecu will require the maf as well as the stock map sensor to be there...so you'd have to change out a few parts to make it all work. As long as you don't mind spending a short bit reinstalling some parts you should be fine.

The Stock Ecu can easilly handle the 50Trim turbo kit. Expect atleast 420WHP on a flash and keeping stock drivability and stock knock prottection and able to cope with temperature change. Just keep the stock ECU if you are using a 50Trim.

I have the EMS and I switched back to stock ecu here in GA to pass emissions. It wasn't too much trouble, just reinstall the maf and change a few wires over and it's ready to go.
