2.4 compression test

from left to right getting close to the exact number since I did this last week. The numbers were like 208/205/203/195, Does this seem within normal limits for a 2.4?

Also, I changed my plugs tonight since I am getting tuned this Saturday finally and I noticed that from left to right that where the spark plug seats down inside the motor that it got oilier and oilier. It wasnt just on the plug but made it into the tube around where the plug seats (not on the walls or the plug wires) Is that do to running super rich? I tried to take a flash light to peep down the tube into what might be the pistons??? They looked charred on the top. I assume those are just deposits due to running rich?
You know I am not a mechanic.

Am I OK?

Mark,

The tiny battery can skew your readings. You need a full size battery to check compression. I was seeing weird readings until I replaced the small battery with a full sized on. The charring is from running rich.

Thanks for resposnding. The wierdest thing happened this morning. The car was running like normal as always and I was completely NOT on boost and the car began firing only on 3 cylinders. The car lost all this power and was puttering down the road. I am like wtf just happened? The car is shaking like crazy. I turn around to head home and as I pull in my neighborhood it went away. I am going to make sure the new plugs are wrneched down well enough. Is it possible that becasue the plugs became very wet from being rich that 1 of the plugs quit firing. I stayed out of boost just in case the compression popped it out but those plug wires keeps those plugs down fairly tight anyway. Thoughts? I am getting tuned tomorrow if you would like to go. Let me know.
