Will this be the boost controller that comes with the BR Stage 1 kit? Or would I need to specify that I want to upgrade to the newer b/c when I order? Looks nice!

Glad to hear the reviews on the boost controller.

Let's talk about something though. Boost taper.....boost taper can be caused from many things, poor boost controller, boost leaks, improperly tuned car or a turbo that is "too small" to maintain the boost you are trying to run.

Many of you running stock turbo's or Greens are getting boost taper because those turbos will not maintain high boost at high rpm. This boost controller is not going to fix that. It may help it some but if for example you are hitting 30 psi and the boost is falling to 22 psi by 7500 rpm, adding this boost controller is not going to get the car to hold 30 psi.

I'm not selling snake oil or BS'ing anyone to get a sale. If you have boost taper check for a boost leak too.

This boost controller, as I said, does work as well or better than any other manual controller I have tested, works better than some. I have used others that work as well or minimal changes compared to this one. It does outperform the others we currently carry/sell.

The Staged upgrades are going to come with our normal manual boost controller unless you specify you want this one, in that case it will cost you $20 more. These were not cheap to build, that's for sure. I am super happy with the outcome.

For those who said " No Taper " using the Buschur MBC.
What turbo and psi are you guys running? Are you guys still on the stock actuator? Post logs if you will...

David, thanks for another excellent product there.
If this holds boost better then I guess a re-tune is mandatory.
Or it depends how much boost is held over from before or how aggressive/mild the tune is.

Anybody using the BMBC on a stock 8/9 turbo with stock actuator?

Is it possible to eliminate boost taper at 22psi on stock ix turbo with stock actuator? I have a electronic right now to do this, but this would be alot simpler.

So would it be worth it to upgrade from my Hallman Pro? It's currently set at 22psi tapering to 19psi - stock turbo.

Mine does actually taper a bit...up almost 1 psi....27psi @ 4600rpm to 28psi @ 7400rpm. I am using the BR20G-LT with the stock actuator and E85.

I wouldn't mind a little creep, but if it hold 22psi without taper to redline I'll
order one.

I would say that a stock turbo on an EVO8 or EVO9 if everything else is right, should be able to hold 22-23 psi all the way to redline on up to a Stage 4 type build.

David, maybe I should try it out, since I taper from 26 -> 16psi due to this altitude. I know the stock turbo is not efficient enough to effectively maintain high boost at this altitude, but a few psi more would be nice (if feasible).

Stupid question cause I know there are plenty of "How To's" on here but does it come with instructions? After reading all the mistakes and different ways people hook up their MBCs I'm still confused...Thanks.
