Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution GSR by AMS Performance
We here at C/D headquarters are big fans of the tenth-generation Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. The Evo beat out the Volkswagen R32 and Subaru WRX STI in a comparison test, while the go-fast MR model scorched a wicked time at our latest Lightning Lap showdown.
But for tuners, fast is never fast enough. That’s why AMS Performance saw fit to upgrade a 2008 Evolution GSR for this year’s SEMA show. Chicago-based AMS claims 460 horsepower at the wheels, and roughly 560 at the crankshaft. Compare that with the stock car, which makes just 291 ponies at the crank.....
