On hard shifts i get a thud from under the car. It seems to happen in lower gears when dropping the clutch between up shifts/quick re-engagement of clutch. ive heard that it was both the transfer case and the rear diff, don't know what one is right. i understand that in an awd car, all the shock is transfered through the drivetrain when the clutch is reengaged but im trying to figure out exactly what is affected, tcase or rear diff.

will this help protect the car from damage on these hard shifts?
will it enable me to shift hard like i used to on my fwd si and not worry about damaging the transmission, lol.

i have learned to slow down the shifts, or slip the clutch slightly, but it would definiteliy be nice to be able to bang gears without worrying.

(copied and pasted from evoxforums, just thought i would bring my question over to this thread to)
