Yeah due to the time it takes for DG to do it I am going to do it myself. I grabbed some steel and got the MC for $50 from my junk yard guy. My fab guy said not a big deal. I'll just have to order the heim joint which I can get in one day or same day depending on sizing. I'll have the new line made while waiting for heim joint and I'm ready to go!

How many lines are there or which lines... Since I no longer have my 9, I may have to send these parts up.

It's only the one main line. Pretty simple.

What a terrible design by Mitsu, cheap bastards!

Maybe there will be a TSB.
Yea, I can't believe they made this out of plastic. It's really really dumb on their part. They already knew the car would need an after market clutch at some point so why not at least make the master cyl. strong? mitsu ftl on that one! This issue really has me thinking of the 335xi right now and If I should make that trade!

I understand about the turn around time but I believe 2-3 days is a decent time frame to get this job done. All in all it takes a day for us to convert and then ship it back out. Most of the time is going to be in shipping.

Post up some pics when you finish it!

I was quoted 2-3 days to convert thus why I decided to do it myself. Next time your phone people should be more clear.

Guys, I have started a thread on my blog, on the "Master cyl. IX transplant" that DG Motors is doing for me... I'm going to hit up their shop on Tuesday to snap a few more pics, check out what I've got so far @ i-tuner!

Guru- Chill out man! you wouldn't even know about this idea if DG didn't do the research and offer it so... Pay a little respect and lay off the pompous comments.

Not trying to be pompous. Just saying they told me 2-3 days just to do work (which they outsource) THEN ship time. Here they are implying it same day turnaround plus ship time. If they would have told me that on the phone they would have made a sale. Because of their miscomunication they lost one. No skin off my nose just trying to tell them to be more clear. Might help them get more customers is all. Chill out

If you would be so kind for the rest of us. If you would be willing to snap a few pics of what size the plate has to be and where it has to be welded along with the info for the heim joint and where you got it from. So us other DIY people can copy cat of you.

Wow, well good luck doing it yourselves if you actually get it done correctly... I personally wouldn't want to do something as important as my clutch master cyl. Myself, that's why dg has my car right now and I trust And respect their work.
Thanks dg for offering this, outsourced or not your still one of the only shops offering this.

Rubber Hose- MR594664
Steel Tube- 2348A038
Bolt- MB5552841
Washers- MF660053

Updated on first page!

I understand where you are coming from. We honestly converted this for our own personal car and I made a thread to see if I could build some interest. I never intentionally looked to "mass produce" these on an assembly line and ship them out.

Now that I sparked interest all over the United States, we may start getting some cores in. I am trying to work with Mitsubishi to see what we can do but these clutch pedal units are far from cheap.
