Garrett core has always measured 3.8" but is advertised as 4" by garrett..

Why was the BFIC discontinued? Or was that rumor/temporary? Being in Florida and with a big turbo setup I've been thinking of moving to that intercooler for some time...

I can get them built still.. Its overkill for most cars but i can get it done if you like..

Well being in Florida what would you suggest. The car is fully built with a 37r running 30psi on pump gas. My current intercooler just isn't cutting it at all anymore at these levels. I feel there is quite a bit more on the table just for pump gas with better temperature control. I get 30 to 40 degree temperature increases in a single 3rd gear pull at times now that the weather is warming up. If playing around with the car and running it several pulls back to back it's noticable the power drops off as it gets hotter and the car begins to pull some timing due to knock as temps rise.

I can't imagine what 40psi on race gas would do for temps...

I dont recommend the 4.5" fmic no matter where you live unless your looking to run some high 45+psi of boost or 900+hp.. The 4" is already overkill.. the pressure drop and weight disadvantage is not worth it..
