STM Evo 8/9 Front Small Brake Kit now Available! !

We our proud to release our STM Evo 8/9 Small Front Brake Kit !

The STM Front Small Brake Kit for Evo VIII-IX allows you to ditch the weight of your big, heavy Brembos and rotors and clears room to run smaller wheels and slicks.

This brake set-up is specifically designed for Drag Racing.

While the kit works at Street Driving duties; This is not intended for constant, on/off braking as in road-racing or autocross.

We run this system on the streets and recently the STM Front Brakes assisted a customer's Evo to take the #1 spot as fastest stock turbo, stock motor Evo!

STM Front Brake Kit Includes:
- Wilwood 4 Piston Calipers
- Wilwood Street Brake Pads
- Wilwood Rotors
- Choice of STM Anodized Hat Color (Black, Purple or Gold)
- STM Brake Lines
- Black Anodized Mounting Brackets
- Mounting Hardware

Total weight per side: 14.4 pounds.
Rotor assembly only: 9.25 pounds.

With slightly worn pads and rotors, the OEM assembly (per side) weighs 31.6 pounds. Each OEM rotor was 21.6.

22.7 pounds shaved off in rotating mass, and 34.4 pounds deleted in total weight.

They are not. Sorry it took me so long to answer. You bring up a valid point and I was waiting for a call back from a wilwood rep before I made any changes.

After talking with them, It seems the way we have this setup is perfectly fine for our application. We really are not going to be making a ton of heat with these as they are made for drag applications, not repeatedly stopping from high speeds without cooling down between. In fact, Wilwood them selves sell several kits that are setup the same exact way.

How does this differ from another vendors wilwood small brake kit besides the different color options?

Not a ton actually.

Unfortunately, this is something that can only be done so many ways in order to keep the kit somewhat affordable.

With that said, The main differences are in the machining of the hats and brackets.

Thanks, wish this came out a little sooner, I like the color options. Adds some nice spunk.
