Gizzmo Electronics
I purchased the Tach Recall and Launch Interface from Gizzmo Electronics a few weeks ago. I was so happy broke out the soldering iron and got right to work doing the install. When it was all done the car would die evrytime I pushed in the clutch to activate the Launch Interface. So I called the company, which is in New Zealand and told them what was wrong. They put me on the line with a tech right away and I told him the problem. He told me to try one thing and email them if it didnt work. So it didnt work and I sent them an email about the problem. The replied back and asked me the specifics about the car. I sent them the link to the pinout diagram on EvoMoto. They called a customer and had them bring their Evo7, JDM 7 has same wiring as our 8, so they could trouble shoot the problem. The next day I get an email that they had no luck the car was doing exactly what I described. They emailed me the next day again the same answer. On Thursday night I finally get an email that says they got the problem figured out. Thursday night for us is Friday night for them. So Sunday night I get an email with detailed instructions and a detailed drawing how to fix the problem. I had to purchase a relay, resistor and a capacitor totaling $25 after tax. I followed their instructions and today I now have a properly functioning Launch Interface. This company probably spent more money trying to figure the problem out than they made from me buying their product. This place gets an 11 for customer support.
The way it functions is the tach recall is a two stage shift light. You select the rpm for the first stage and a single amber LED shines, you set the second stage and 6 blue LEDS blind you, the blue lights are really bright so you wont miss them. It also has a recall feature that uses your factory tach. The launch interface works similar to the stationary rev limiter you use in Ecuflash. It has a seperate switch on the clutch and it allows you to flat shift. Most people will not really have a use for the Launch Interface, and will think it is a waste of money.
I am totally happy with these products and will be purchasing their EBC in the future.

nice review. We are thinking about carrying these products. Would you mind sharing the part numbers of that relay, resister, and a capacitor? also their diagram and instruction will be great.
Thank you

I have tried to get their launch controllers working on my Evo 6 TME. I have tried 4 of them in total with no success at all! The car wouldn't even run after it was installed. The old wiring diagram that they supplied was incorrect but even wired correctly it simply just doesn't go.
As for their boost controllers...don't buy one! They are not that flash at all...the only way to set the boost level is by driving on the road, getting the boost up to the level you require and then hitting a button for it to remember the boost level! How stupid is that and how hard is that gonna be to get accurate by yourself!??
There are quiet a few people here in New Zealand that have had issues with their products.
