It is not NESSECARY to have a upgrade to a Walbro fuel pump to run stages 1-2. However....It will allow you to run a little more boost and add even more safety. The Evo 9 pump is not an "upgrade".
As far as the intake debate that is going on in here..... why it is not recommended is beyond me. The stock air box is a restriction plain and simple. It is a easy few extra hp & torque for $80 with our kit.
The stock Evo 9 diverter valve will be fine for basic bolt on mods and will hold boost accurately. We actually keep the stock Evo 9 valve on our BR350 Evo's and even recommend people with Evo 9's that are going with Stages 1 and 2 to retain it as well.

What are your feelings on the APEXI Funnel Intank? The reason Iask is because it states that it was designed specifically for a MAF equipped car. How restrictive is the OEM Intake Snorkle Vs. the Hard pipe?
