Quote: i appreciate what you did for me but i feel the treatment i recieved outweighed the service you provided (in a negative way)
i just think that being the person you are, which id say is a person who has probably if not definetly tuned the most evos out there. as that person you should try to help teach the community rather than look down your nose at them
but its fine you say you are learning and thats great, good customer service will probably bring you more bussiness than providing the best tunes on the market. i can almost gaurantee it

As I am reading what you are saying - your perception was that I was not trying to help you, (as part of the community), due to looking down my nose at you

I regret that you have this impression

The reality is that I did try to help you and spent a significant amount of time trying to explain what your problem was (boost creep); why you had it and how to fix it and most importantly to myself warning you of the potential for problems if you ignored the condition (over boosting)

There is a lot of truth to your assertion

"good customer service will probably bring you more bussiness than providing the best tunes on the market. i can almost gaurantee it"

The reality is that many customers can not differentiate between one tune or another. It is hard to qualtify or evaluate the success of a tune expect by the experience of driving the car and the long term reliability.

My primary concerns with my work and service are to do my very best on each car to make sure the tune is as good as I can make it and not to sacrifice my high standards of tuning, even when we are busy. Also, giving a fair value and low prices to the consumer are also key goals that I have. I take great pride in the art of my tuning and I have high expectations for my results.

Obviously, in retrospect, my blunt, staright forward and direct manner of explaining your boost creep condition offended you in some way and you feel that this demonstrates that I am looking down my nose at you which is 100% not the case.

I appreciate your feedback and I will try harder to let customer's know that I appreciate thier business and that I want to help then with any car related issues that they may have.

As an aside, I note that I do mainatin a tech section on these forums and that that tech forum is often a great place to ask questions and I spent a lot of time each day posting information there.

Thanks again

happy to see another customer of The Shop, satisfied!!!

Personally i have dealt with THE SHOP 4 times and with AL twice on custom tunes...

The Shop is one the most proffesional and friendly shops i ve ever seen. Friendly and they really know their business!

Big Al is an awsome tuner who will try to take the best out of your car if this is possible! Now attitude wise, both times we ve done business together he is friendly, explains quite a bit on what he is doing and tries to give 100% satisfaction to the customer... I am not sure but what are you saying i haven't seen it...

Now, the combo The Shop/Dynoflash is a win/win situation. I am always happy when i go there, eventhough its an 1 hour trip to Norwalk from my house...
