I actually didn't notice a difference in shifter height. I'll find a stock evo sometime and measure.

Look at the way the shifter boot sits.

does anyone know if the evo x shifter is the same? When I had my shift boot off, the shifter looked similar to the 8's and 9's.

No idea if they are the same or not, but these are so cheap you could give it a try and be a pioneer in the community

There are a few different settings you can put it on, so you can have it placed right where you want it!

Would you say there is a big change? the gear seems that much closer?

That would be relaly great if you could see if it could match up and fit in the III cause i need to change the bushings for my shifter and im like **** it might aswell just throw in a short shifter but my parts guys who orders from jap. says they dont have any applications for my car anymore

Yah I remember those Ebay ones for other cars....just be careful when u shift hard because it might break in half due to the obviously cheap *** metal they use. Good luck

I'm not worried at all about it; they are solid steel with no welds or joints.

The gear changes are much tighter now; this shifter is as close to how my S2k was as possible for an Evo to be. I'll talk with my buddy who owns a Evo III tonight and see how the shifter is setup. I know he has a nice aftermarket one in his car though, I'll find out which one.
