ECS Performance
Time for MY experiences with ECS:
I own a 2002 WRX, I did all the bolt on stuff for the stock TD04 (uppipe, downpipe, catback, COBB Accessport, COBB crank pulley blah blah blah) but after a while it wasn't cutting it in terms of power. I came upon a great deal on a VF39 and decided to grab it and build more of an STI set up. Do do this I would need injectors, a fuelpump, and a bigger intercooler.
I turned to ECS for the fuel pump. I talked to Alex, in charge of sales, he hooked me up with a great price and had it to my door 2 days after I ordered it with standard shipping. I was very impressed because I've dealt with a lotta vendors over my four years of modifying cars. I found some used 06 WRX top feeds, and a huge ebay intercooler.
I installed it all myself as I'm a broke college student with an expensive modifying car habbit...err addiction.
Now it came time for a tune. I also turned to ECS for this. I set up a date with Paul for the dyno tune at Bishop Motorsports. He got me in very quick. The tune cost me $400 ($200 dyno time, $200 for the tune). I thought this was an awesome price considering what a lot of people pay for an Accessport...($695). Why pay an extra $300?
I was very impressed with the tune as well. My 39 set up made a very respectable 284 WHP and 282 WTQ at 21 PSI with spot on air/fuels at 11.3. I was happy with the numbers considering the temps in the airbox were 115 degrees!! I have a video and the graphs coming soon...so stay tuned.
After my first two experiances with ECS were so great, I decided to order wheels through them. Not only did Alex get me a great deal on my new 17x8 RPF-1's it was the same story with shipping. Placed the order on thursday of last week...they were here yesterday (Saturday) with standard shipping.
I HIGHLY recomend ECS's services wherever you are.
