^ I don't understand what you are saying about your BOV being an issue and the Samco hose fixed that? Do you mean you had the Perrin hose and fixed the BOV being mashed into the CAS and it being too close to the exhaust manifold by changing to the Samco?
No, MAF will read the air the same way no matter what direction its turned. So long as its not installed backwards. You're just turning the air upside down.

I believe the Samco was shorter than the stock hose, which tightened it a bit pulling the bov away from the exhaust manifold. May just want to go with a different intake setup though. I ditched the perrin when I went to an ETS short route.

Chris and Jeff at Perrin gave me some pointers on how to make things fit better and hooked me up with a few nice bits to make life easier. Perrin support and customer service is top notch; thanks guys!!!

Bored today and decided to clean my MAF and Perrin filter. I bought the K&N recharge kit at a local store and will be oiling the Perrin with the red K&N filter oil. Is this okay? I assume it can't be too different from the filter oil Perrin sells.

I read mixed reviews of using the kn kit. Perrin sells the Uni brand. I found both the Uni cleaner and lug at a motorcycle shop nearby. The Uni oil is very heavy. If you figure out a good way to apply let us know. I put too much on and had to pull it out with about a whole roll of paper towels.

For sure you will want to clean the filter with foam filter cleaner only. K&N and other cotton type filter cleaners can break down foam filters over time.

Thanks. Will do next time. Hopefully the one cleaning doesn't hurt too much.

Do you guys sell the foam cleaner? Mine could probably use a cleaning.

Very Nice! The increase in boost looks to be due to the decrease in pressure drop at the turbo inlet... exactly what a good intake should do

I know, I know, bumping and old thread.... good review though.

I really like the way it appears to fit. I have an older bushcur intake with connical filter I was using, and despite my best efforts of position it, it constantly ends up crushed against the hood lining and even started ripping some of it off under boost. I ended up removing it as while there were definite gains after 5500, it wasnt worth the decreased driveability every day. Yours looks like a nice setup, thanks for going to the trouble of a stock to mod dyno.

I'd recommend working on the exhaust side first, but it's a great intake, so a good purchase regardless.
