personally run this unit,

also ran this in several race cars at a race meeting here in Bathurst Australia,

makes a big difference in both the SST and the M/T versions.

well worth it and yes you get better fuel eco.

Kinda a related question here...
In the 350Z, also drive by wire, though the accel pedal was down 100% the actual throttle movement was way less. Something like 80% or so. Does the Evo have this issue as well? If it does, then I can see how you could gain some power with better spool with this controller. Also, is the throttle opening linear with pedal movement. I've read that many manufactures set the throttle to open 50% with only 20% pedal movement to give the driver a false perception power and response.

That's an ECU issue, this product won't help.

If I remember correctly, the throttle plate only opens up to 88% at WOT.

The throttle map is not linear with pedal travel, the stock settings is therefore very laggy. Blitz TC fixes this by having a more linear throttle graph.

The throttle map is linear .. Ethrottle makes it non linear .. hence the feel that its better

the pedal and the throttle opens linearly like a cabled throttle plate ..

Question Laggy stop and go sst?

I have seen it said that this device can solve the laggy throttle response from full stop with an SST in two seperate threads now and I thought "cool, I've got to get one of them there things" then I started thinking, "how can this TC help?"; the TC only changes the rate of throttle plate opening but the "problem" seems to be (and I'm guessing here) the way the computer engages the clutch at standstill and the restriction of power (boost, injector cycle, timing, all 3?) during said engagement.

Is anyone working on a hack that changes either the computer or the trans controller programming to make a more rapid but still smooth take off for the first 1sec/10ft from the stop light? In Los Angeles I must come to a full stop for red lights and/or traffic almost every block (I got to move)! and then the MR feels about as peppy as an automatic moped for the first 5 or 10 feet after I mash the gas pedal.

Does the GTR or other DCT cars exhibit this same behavior?
