My experience at CBRD

I just got a turbo back exhaust, intake n fuel pump installed along with a tune from CBRD Speedfactory. Let me say that I couldn't be any happier how the car turned out. With the tbe, intake, fuel pump n the boost turned up to 24 psi I put down 314 hp n 296 ft. The car responds very well out on the road the boost is there when I want it. Again I can't be any happier with Chad n his staff for the work they did n fitting me in. Thanks CBRD!!!

Steve

You did 314 whp on CBRD's dyno with just those mods? That's a gain of like 85 whp over stock on their Mustang Dyno.

Good stuff. Seems like good numbers for not much done on that dyno. I go in for my latest tune next Monday. 1st time I had one in like 4 years! Getting really antsy now.

Chad told me stock IXs do 230ish on their dyno. Factory freak you've got there.

I had a tune by Al at Pruven back in 2006, then Chris Black from AMS tuned it at Atlantic Motorsports in 2007. This will be my 3rd tune and wow, literally 4 years. Had it on CBRD's dyno for a BBQ/meet fall of 2009 for a baseline. I am hoping I get damn close to 400/370 but we will see. I am going to let the clutch smoke if need be but dont want to do head studs yet. That may be the limiting factor on my power here next week. If I had a feak car like yours I would do zero cosmetic mods until you at least get a BBK full and supporting mods on that beast.

I think my next step will be to put a CBRD intercooler n piping. I hope that gets me close to 350. But it will be alittle bit till I get that done. Just going to play with this set up for alittle while

nice numbers. do you have a catalytic converter? My car with about the same mods (tbe w/ high flow cat, intake, licp, fuel pump, perrin bcs, and tune @ 25 psi) made 327whp/300wtq on their dyno last summer. which was up from a baseline of 227/229. I'm guessing you will be able to reach your goal with an intercooler

Thanks. Yeah they took a test pipe n put a small cat in it to make it a high flow cat.

also forgot to mention-

this car has a 3 port EBCS- so it doesnt have as much boost taper as most hence good numbers-

manual boost controllers are a thing of the past.
