So i cant say this anymore simple! DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP! PRS perfomance race solutions in sanford FL. They claim to be an evo specialist shop but i really dont know what they specialize besides being crocked and unprofessional. They sound very professional over the phone and make you feel confident but you can see what kind of shop they are just by walking in to their shop/trap. They are a trap! If you want your car to come out with other brocken stuff and done uncorrectly this is the place. I had my car towed to their shop since i heard that they where near the track my car broke down at. I thought it was a legit shop since their website seems legit but it was all a front.

This is my story. Messed up my transfer case after 4yrs of non stop launching. My car was towed to this shop because im from california and not at all familiar with any shops here in florida and i thought they seemed like a good evo specialist shop to go to but they werent not even close good. Guy mike "owner" called me the next day with what he found wrong. Busted the drive shaft gears that go from the tranny to tcase and their where some blued acd plates in side tcase. He also asked me if someone had worked on my car since he found 1/2 a quart of oil in my transmission when he drained it. And i had, my clutch had just been replaced the week prier to my car breaking down so the shop that put in my clutch forgot to fill with oil. He was correct about all this untill i made the mistake of listining to him. He asked me if my gears felt notchy and i had noticed 3rd n 4th getting notchy but nothing to serious! So with this said clutch shop took full responsibility. I decided to replace my 6speed tranny with a 5 speed since thats what ive been wanting to do. So mike told me that he had a vendor that gets him tcases and trannys for evos. Felling confident with them after mike telling me he never has problems with his vendors parts. I decided to give him the money to get me a tcase and tranny for the car. Car took about 1month to get done when i would call in he would say his vendor was delayed. Lie when i called his supposed vendor he said he had trannys and tcases ready to ship next day. Lol so i just waited for my evo to be done and not rush anybody since i really wanted it done right. When i went to pick up my car the first time the 5speed he put in was stiff as a rock to shift and had a loud whine. Jay a guy in the shop that went on my test ride with me tryied telling me to take the car and it would get better, Mike was not in by the way. I refused and wanted my car feeling like it should. 2weeks later car gets done again so i go back to PRS to pick up my evo 9. Tranny felt good now but i still had a 1st gear whine and not your normal whine that evos have either. Mike this time was their so we go on the test drive. When i left my car their originally it was in full car was in the empty light and noticed a cell pad on my cars dash. As if someone was personally using it those extra 2weeks. So he fills my gas tank. When test driving he refuses and refuses that he couldnt here the whine. Pulls the im a evo specialist card on me Lmao that he would know what a whine is. So we get back to the shop and i start checking my car one of my lugs on the front right was snaped off. Mike said car came in like that. Left side tire was missing a lug, mike also said car came in like that. I pop the hood and what do you know all my hyper voltage system wires are all hooked up to one terminal. GREAT i guess i did that too Lol but he told me again car came in like that.ni was very irritated with everything that i just wanted my car out of that shop. I bite a bullet and go pay my bill MIKE has over charged me $1000 in labor for the transmission replacement. Labor totalled to $2300 i had already paid for parts that i later found out i was over charged for as well. I didnt bite a bullet on this he re wrote my labor totaling to $1300. He tried wording the job differently by charging seperate labor for the transmission replacement then the transfercase replacement. Please people stay away from this shop performance race solutions in sanford Fl. This is the most unprofessional shop i have ever delt with. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CARE THEIR PRS PERFORMANCE RACE SOLUTIONS FOR ANY REASON. Ive had my car now for over the 30day warranty they gave me and my car still whines in 1st gear and 5th gear now. Will see what the future says.

Let’s go over the same story, yet from our view.

Your Evo 9 MR showed up to our shop in the middle of the weekend. No note, no nothing! After finally speaking to you we brought the car into the shop and did our initial inspection of the issue.
What we found was the T-case input shaft has been stripped. ACD was over heated and a lack of fluid in the Trans.
You opted to go to a 5 speed swap and replace the transfer case. You choose to use USED parts and have us install them. The previous shop paid for the transmission and not the shipping in which we covered.
Now here is where the job takes a turn. The first transmission we installed was sent to us and we installed it. It turned out to not meet the expectations of yourself. We charged no extra fee and removed this Trans and had the company send another. It took almost 3 exchanges before we found a Trans that was worthy to be installed. Not wanting to go through the labor again. The master tech took the Trans and opened it. Finding some of the bearings were not up to our liking we went ahead and replaced these with new ones at NO charge to you. Through-out the Trans install's yes the car had been driven. We tested the car to ensure that Trans was correct. Also every day the car was kept inside the shop. We always start the cars let them warm up and pull them out side. Both these can explain the fuel usage. Which when you brought to our attention we gladly filled up with gas at again no charge.

You were not over charged for the work performed. There was a billing error in which was rectified right away.
Your total labor was 1092.00
Any one on this page can say leaving a shop paying 1100 in labor for swapping and Trans, transmission 3 times rebuilding the Trans with new bearings would be a great deal.
As you stated it’s been 30 days and there has been no failure. We gave you a 30 day warranty if the job was not completed correctly you could have come in and addressed the issue.

Also, we covered the shipping on every transmission and did not get compensated for this.

I feel like I want to ask a question or two about the whole deal, but I am still full of anger and rage at how OP wrote that damn paragraph.

 

Man you guys are good at looking good! Hard to believe that you switched ALMOST 3 trannys out when you specifictly told me that you have never had any problems with your vendors trannys. Trannys replaced, Bearings replaced, trans split open why not call customer and tell him whats going on with his USED part. And since you where already in their fix the whine in the gear. Hmmmm and brocken studs, missing lugs caused by PRS; tire pressure not checked, hyper voltage system no longer working, voltage system wires put back wrong. Yeah no failure because car is being driven causious so no failures happen due to the fact that when i left your shop you said "keep it off the track" Hmmmm...thank you for the good words Mike as I leave your shop. Work order wasent even filled out had to ask you guys to fill it out before i signed it. YOU GUYS ARE A JOKE! work on being professional with work not your words.

I reread your response a few times and I think I have it covered now. Our comment about the no track was in reference to your launching ability. We were just giving out some friendly advice so that you did not ruin another t-case. Not many other shops will give you the deal on labor like we did.

We did update you about the transmissions as you stated in your first post. We could have said not our problem and not fixed the Trans for you but we wanted to go above and beyond to get the issue fixed so you could get back on the road.
