Hey,
Spoke with Shiv at this past tune weekend and were discussing some future upgrade options. We spoke about possibly getting some headwork done to extracct more power however didnt mention any companies that do it.
Anyone know a very good and reliable shop to get some headwork done over here on the east coast ? I'm not exactly sure on what work needs to be done. From what I seen and figure though, porting the head, bigger valves, upgraded springs/retainers/etc.. , port and polish ?
Thanks!

Full Race Port and Polish
1mm over Sodium Nitrate Valves
Pocket Ported
BR Springs and Ti Retainers
3 Angle Valve Job (of course)
The main thing we noticed were we can pick up allot of HP is by the pocket porting. My head was terrible in the pockets!!!

BJs head shop, but headwork really doesn't become an issue until you are flowing a LOT of air. I think it would be easier to pick up a few extra hp with a 50 shot (and apropriate fuel of course). *shrug*

Well i really cant tell you. I fully rebuilt the engine from the ground up so there are so many new variables that i wouldnt be able to tell you how much just off the headwork. What i do know is before i did anything to the engine i made 512whp and now with the new engine we are going to bring the psi up to 40-45psi and raise the revs to 9000-9500 depending on when the power starts to drop off. We are hoping for 650-700whp. I will post results next month after i get back from Portland.Originally Posted by RenoEvo
How much power did you actually gain from the headwork?

No need to flame now. I ran 35psi on stock everything. That was with silcone based pistons, now im sure i wont have a problem. But we will see.Originally Posted by RenoEvo

Ya when i had everything stock internals with HKS cams, Full exhaust and AEM with 850cc Injectors i put down those numbers at 30psi according the the boost gauge but 29psi according to the AEM. Were you guys having problems with it?Originally Posted by David@Vishnu
