300whp Goal Plz Help!!
A friend of mine dynoed 263whp/260 tq. on a DD dyno on stock boost. His power mods are: Borla Turboback, UTEC, HKS 264/272, HKS cam gears, and a walbro fuel pump. He said he wants to reach 300whp on 91 octane and I told him he should turn the boost up to about 21psi and he'd probably be almost there, somewhere in the 280's. But then he was saying he doesn't want to turn the boost up because it'll mess up his A/F ratios and risk "blowing up his engine" and also saying he's already maxing the stock injectors and gets consistent fuel cut. I know a lot of you guys are near 300whp on 91 octane at about 21psi so basically he's full of it. I know he's not maxing the stock injectors and I know there's a lot of evo's out there SAFELY pushing to 21-22psi w/o fuel cut. Can I get some advice on what to tell him (you guys know a lot more than me) and how he can accomplish his goal of 300whp on the stock turbo, injectors, and FMIC

He already has 300WHP
If he wants 300WHP on DD than he really wants about 350WHP.
300hp on a DD on 91 with stock boost and stock FMIC and stock turbo =Dreamland
unless he wants to buy a stroker kit, port the head, get a better intake manifold etc...

no way, the stage 3 guys were on stock intercooler this weekend putting down impressive numbers on the DD.

Sure u can push a stock turbo to 340 on a DD, as my brother evotomig has , but thats not ??? the guy was askin.

. If his IDCs are nearing max he is running WAY too much timing we are still fully in control of IDCs with and Exhaust (even catless), cams, gears, 10.5 hotside and Xede. The static timing he chooses to run is always going to put him tring for a "best fit approach" for safe operation on a daily basis. Better carry that laptop around
Meth/water injection kit and a lil more tuning. Also what do stock Evos Dyno where he had his car dynoed. Not all DD dynos are the same.IMO His goal on 91 oct with the stock turbo is a lil optimistic if this dyno in question reads as low as Shiv's. Some goals that people make are plain stupid and not well thought out. But I could be wrong because I am human. OUT!

IE did u know Shiv toke ur yellow evo to india???...i saw it on the boat...i swear
how can I convince him that 21psi is safe. he even has a new head gasket and ARP head studs and he thinks he's gonna blow if he turns the boost up a couple lbs. Alos, how the hell would he be getting fuel cut and maxing the stock injectors?
