Hey Andrew, yeah Im still on the stock Clutch...This is Ronnie , Greddy Type S bov, have not had 1 problem at all with it, even asked shiv at the dyno day if it seemed to be doing alright for the 22-23psi i am running and he said yeah it seems to be fine. I noticed you mentioned having the same problem. Did yours ever go away? Also, how much would you guys charge in labor to do an install of the clutch? Id trust you guys with my car.
Sorry for the delay in replying.....can't quote a price on line as I am not an official vendor
Yes I had the same problem a little while back with a forge BOV...went back to a stock unit and it went away...
Snoop also had the same problem IIRC and it was fixxed after a new clutch install
Have not yet figured out what causes this...but I know the symptoms..
Try putting your stock BOV back on....it can't hurt

Ronnie,
Your car is now officially modified. You will get used to the very minor blips here and there. The slight rpm hold when shifting is no big deal and I don't even notice it. You will also get used to the slight clicking of the phony senonoid in the xede. (I find it reassuring.) You also mentioned some other problem about a slight off throttle blip. These are all minor, minor nusances. You won't notice any of this stuff in a couple of weeks. It is all normal and doesn't hurt anything. Now, the RRE BOV is another story. I took mine off because I couldn't stand stalling with the ac on, and the surges at steady highway speeds. I just use it now when I go drag racing.

hey man, my car has been modded for a while now, just after the XEDE install has it started doing this, and if you had a clue what I am talking about man, you would definatly know that this problem here is something that will not be gotten used to and is not supposed to be happening.
haha.
haha.
Same here
I had the same problem after I put on a Forge BOV, but it would actually rev a little higher, and then start to fall slowly. I also thought it was a cooridination problem, didn't help much. I put back on the standard BOV.
I have a Vishnu Stage 0+ with XEDE.

Well guys i did some testing tonight, i unplugged the XEDE and tried stock ECU, still did it, so then i replaced the Type S with the Stock BOV(thats whats on there now) and its still doing it with the stock one. I dont know what else to try to eliminate and find out what it is. ??? Next guess would be clutch, but i dont know how a clutch would make the RPM rise like the when pressing in. I guess ill probably put the Type S back in tommorow, boost seems to be better with it too. This problem is bugging the **** outta me though because it makes it seem like i cant even drive my own car right.

My Evo has started doing this, although my symptoms are slightly different. I noticed about a week back that when I'm coming off a hard pull in 4th gear, shifting into 5th grinds every time. Turns out that when I shift, the RPMs keep climbing ~500rpm, which in turn must be throwing off the synchros, because if I wait for the RPMs to drop before I shift, then it shifts fine. Doesn't happen in any of the other gears though...
Question to the folks that are having this problem: Are you running the stock IC piping and hoses?
My theory right now is that perhaps the ballooning of the stock IC hoses is causing the throttle body to stay open/close slower than it should. I've noticed that 4th (and 5th) gear seem to run slightly higher PSI on my car than the lower gears.
