where the f-ck does this Xede wire go?

On my xede, one of the wires coming out of the black connector, a yellow and white striped wire, leads to nowhere. Its just a wire hanging about, about 3-4 inches long. Is this normal?

Some harnesses have that. It's just the wire used for firmware updating. I don't always remove them since I figure that they will come in handy when its time for users to update their Xedes themselves. It's not a live wire so nothing to worry about.

hey, while you're on here, i want to ask you when you think you'll be back in town. I have an appt on the 21st with you, for a track event on the 22nd, and no one seems to know for sure what your ETA is.

I really hope you'll be back in town by then, my car needs to be tuned, badly.

I'll be back on Tuesday and back in work on Wednesday (one day later than planned). I have to take an emergency trip to Detroit on Friday. So that leaves Wed and Thurs as the only two days of the week that I can tune.

For now that one is used only on cars with the sunroof option and power seats ... it enables the emergency eject feature of the XEDE. Can be hooked up to driver or passenger seat.

I've also heard rumours that it will be used to control the soon-to-be-released Vishnu Tesla Coil. When asked about the rationale behind this new mod, owner Shiv Veeeeshnu stated:
"We got kinda bored with our Evo only being able to shoot 6 foot flames. With the new Veeshnu Tesla Coil, you will not only be able to shoot flames, but you will also get 6 foot arcs of lightning. We've tested it on our yellow shop car and it's hella tight!"

Speaking of wires ... is there a way (if a wire isn't in our harness) to put one in the black and/or grey connector? I'd like to potentially use the WI labeled wires that aren't there right now.

Thanks,

jcnel.
