Transmission Durability

Well, people always wanted to know how strong the factory tranny is. Well, we have a report for you guys. Turns out that 4th gear grind we were getting with the One Lap/Car and Driver car was more than a botched sychro. Turns out the entire mainshaft is perfectly twisted, allowing all the gears to line up perfectly. What was preventing a smooth 4th gear shift was a munched up bearing. So no, these transmissions aren't indestructable. However, it did take us 3 mag tests, 40k miles of hard daily driving, 500+hp and One Lap of America to induce this problem. Not bad, eh?

Cheers,
shiv

ps. I got the newest C&D issue right here at a street-side newstand... in New Delhi! Talk about wide distribution!

Just put it back to stock and tell them that it has not been raced once. Where is there proof. Plus your not lying not once did you race it. More like too many races to count but not once. True statement. Cheap a$$ tranny can't withstand 40,ooo miles of beatings and 500 +whp(hot prob induced Whp). They should waranty it no problem. It's not like Mitsu can track your car to any racing venues.Your racing has been very discreet.jk!Btw I hear David and company are a lil anxious about getting the newly acquired Yellow shop car on the dyno so they can test out if the tranny can hold. ET come home, Need you back ASAP you are holding up hostage negotiations.

No we are rebuilding stock. It does no good for our customers to use superrace items and leave them with something that cant be reproduced. The stock components are darn good on this car

Yet again, Vishnu proving they actually act to meet their customers expectations instead of giving in to wild personal goals.

Reading Vishnu employee responses is almost like getting a free business management class

when you rebuild the tranny, what are you gonna do to make it stronger? or are you gonna just rebuild to stock? and is there anything else that we should know about the tranny before we put all this hp on it, like the shaft or something?

thanks

Cool, let us know. I'm very curious to see if they can mitigate the poor 1-2 shift on our Evos. What did you have them do as part of your rebuild?

Really i think the point we are trying to make is its darn strong and If the need to rebuild is 46K a ton of HP, Races, OLA, Mag editors. I think thats a good testament
