Hey all,
Quick questions on the Xede and its MAP switching function. I understand that when the 2 wires in question are separated that the Xede defaults to the primary MAP (93 octane in my case). When Vishnu sent the Xede to me a secondary MAP (100 octane) was downloaded. I also understand that when these wires are connected it should switch to the secondary MAP.
1) What I don't understand though is how will I know which MAP I am in when I put a toggle switch between the 2 wires since the LED will be green for both sides of the toggle?
2) Also, in a related question does anyone know of a safe, reliable octane booster to get to 100 octane from 93?
Thanks

you can change maps while car is running
Get a toggle switch that is either closed or open...when it is open it is on the pump gas and when closed it is on race and so on....I position a toggle so in the "UP" position it is logical to the idea of "UPPING" power
You can use Xylene to raise octane, but I would not rely on the Octane being a true 100oct
Regards
Andrew

Ahhh! Ok. The switch thing makes alot more sense now.
I knew the 100 octane at the stations was the way to go I was just hoping there would be a more convenient way then having to fill a couple gas cans, haul it home, get a funnel....I know, I know I'm whining. Seriously though! Thanks for the tips guys.
