I've had the current set-up since last spring. Shiv tuned it in Portland and after some stalling issues, I sent my XEDE back to Vishnu, got it back the following day, and has been running like it should since then.
A week ago, my CEL came on and the P0300 code was diagnosed (misfire). Clearing the code was only a temporary solution since it would come on again after about every half hour of drive time. It would sputter a bit right before the CEL kicks in, usually between 3000-4000 rpm under light to medium loads.
I unhooked the XEDE, just to make sure that it wasnt causing the CEL, and lo and behold... the CEL stopped coming back !!
Did the circuitry degrade over time and use ? I havent had any issues from the time Vishnu "fixed" my XEDE last April until the CEL last week. Any input will be appreciated.

 

I exactly have the same issue, but the frequency of occurance isn't as bad as yours. My Xede still has the power on resistor and I have that symptom of the Xede not loading the map upon start up from time to time. I need to send it in, but have been holding off for V.3 to come so I can get it taken cared of all at the same time. I wish a more concrete date of release would be made. For the mean time I will have to remove the Xede, because when it's no fun and becomes a safety issue for me when it starts sputtering on the freeway. When the symptoms occurs the Xede LED turns green to orange and back to green as well as throwing the P0300 code.

Vishnu guys any advice? send it in now or continue to wait for V.3?

 

Yup an on off condition is a harness issue pm me with addy and we will get you out another harness for confirmation

 

I knida have the same problem where map wont load ( red light) but I pass over it by turning the car off and then on again. it happens about once or twice a month no biggie. I will send my xede once you guys have V3 ready

Im having the exact same issue. Severe sputtering on the freeway then the misfire code.
Its pretty intermittent. Sometimes it will do it pretty often, then sometimes it will go several weeks and be strong as can be with no hicups at all. Usually happens when I downshift from 4th and come into boost fairly hard.

That is the power on resistor removal, A resistor that slows the on voltage to the xede that isnt needed

 

I get the power loss, turns orange then green, but it only does it 2 times after I reset the ECU. Like goldmember would say Vierd!

 

My car is doing the same thing. When you go to drive my car the light goes from green to red and then it goes out. I have tried two new harnesses and even a new xede, but that still has not helped. SO I took out the xede and the car run fine on the stock ecu. What do I need to do now.
