Rear sway bar advice RRE: vs. Cusco

I'm trying to decide between the Cusco and the RRE 25mm bars. Both are 25 mm but I know the RRE bar is quite aggressive, i.e. stiff. The Cusco could be more or less stiff, I have no idea. I'm leaning towards the RRE ($45 bucks cheaper, local shop) but I wonder if it will make my car too loose. Are all 25mm sway bars the same? I want the most complimentary bar to go with the new Ohlins and Cusco camber plates.

Hotchkis.
Very nice sway bar and it is about 4lbs lighter than the stock bar.

It depends what your going to do with your car, if you plan on tracking the car you want to eliminate understeer. So the larger bar the better (You'll also need your coilovers setup properly with the correct spring rates and dampening). Vishnu actually uses a smaller bar up front than stock and then the RRE bar out back.

Agreed and of course remember it's adjustable

Well then, if TOO agressive isn't an issue, I will certainly go with the RRE bar. I looked at their site again and Pau is right, it is ADJUSTABLE.

Cusco 3-way adjustable rear sway bar. I have it and love it best suspenion mod I have done so far .
Imyurturboluva put it on the stiffest setting and your car will swing around corners like the tarmac WRC cars.

I believe the ADJUSTABLE cusco rear is their 23mm one. Their 25mm is not adjustable. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Nice bar indeed. The highlight is that it's hollow allowing for less weight without sacrifing performance. Save weight.

we just don't know how stiff it is relative to the other choices. Any HARD data out there (not "I have the Hotchkis and it feels great!").

I think you're the best qualified to make that comparo.
What is attractive and sets it apart from the rest is the weight savings.

Well errr thanks! So...you'll send both too me, and I'll test them for you and then I'll send the "bad" one back ...

The EVO does need a real stiff rear bar and the solid 24mm jobbies aren't quite enough (unless you run a softer front bar than stock and/or proportionally stiffer rear springs etc.). So the 25's seem the most logical choice, especially the adjustable versions.

Paul,

If you were starting from scratch with a high-end set of adjustable dampers, would you try to balance the car with spring rates and then add an adjustable sway bar to fine tune?

It seems if you are just going to use the $200 sway bar to adjust the balance (no shocks), the bar is the way to go, but you are reducing the grip in the rear.

From my understanding, the hollow bars are lighter and more responsive. I'll have to stop by the Hotchkis booth at SEMA this week.

there is a link to the HKS Kansai bars, it comes as both front and rear... kind of exspensive at $663, not sure if they are worth it??
