where can I find these cooler coppers? I checked the site...

I dont know much bout "cooler" plugs, so these NGK BR8ES fire cooler, lessening the chance of knock? and what is the drawback of cooler plugs, and if I find that they are too "cool", how can I correct with gap? (decrease or increase?) Thanks for the time and info.

Colder plugs are use in applications where higher RPM's/boost loads will be seen, and reduces cylinder head temps- hopefully reducing knock/ping. The colder plugs allow more fuel to be used to actualy cool the motor, instead of being used for combustion. Running too cold will reduce power- bad throttle response, poor top end. Running to hot will cause detonation/melt pistons/other bad stuff! Due to SMOG regulations, most cars run a hotter plug from the factory to reduce emmisions.

Not to mention plug gap changing the plug temprature, then there is plug indexing.....

There are charts avalible from the spark plug manufacturers showing plug temps and applications.

My two bits
