With and without our new PnP XEDE on a 03 STi with a catless exhaust and a BOV. Check out that torque. The car chirps it's front tires during the 2-3 shift!

It's boost lag. The factory ECU doesn't allow for a fast spool-up. It dials in a gentle ramp up and ramp down near redline. It's for emissions I think.

Howdy guys,
The PnP STi XEDE is the plug n play version of the STi XEDE. No more cutting into the factory harness. It takes minutes to install, just like the EVO XEDE. And it is available for all USDM STis (03-05).

Did you check out this thread about the CARB specs for 2005+ cars equipped with OBD II.

Something about the ECU being able to display the VIN, essentially its to check if the ECU has been flashed with new software by an external party. I understand its plug and play. This is new to me since i am coming from Audi land.

Read the thread. Its not as simple as that since you have to buy an extra ECU from Subaru and than they need to flash it with your VIN and other data.
