103 & 93 Octane fuel & ECU + XEDE

Shiv or anyone at Vishnu,

for the past couple of weeks ive been using a blend of 93 and 103 octane fuel on my 93 map and 103 at full strength on the 100+ map. Car has been driving awsome. Today, really low on fuel and far from my garage, I put 3/4 of a tank of 93 only. 10 min after I hit the highway, car threw some misfire codes. Is there a connection? Does the ECU need time to adjust timing for the lower octane?

Richard

BTW When you get your next batch of PnP harnesses I'd love to get one

There is a lot of adaptive abilities in the factory STi ECU. So switching back and forth between octanes can bring those into play. There's really nothing to worry about. I will have some more STi harness in a week or two as the current batch sold out. I'll let you guys know when they come in!

Cheers,
shiv
