Installed boost gauge tonight, where's my boost?

First off, my list of mods:

K & N Element
XEDE

Did you get all that? So tonight I installed the gauge to see how the turbo is working and I'm not too happy. Since I never had the gauge on during my car's stock life I don't know where the fault lies, but here's what I observed. The most boost I get is 19.5psi. Flooring it in 1,2,3,4 it runs up to 18.5-19.0 and holds steady, no peak then dip, nada, just that boost number, the higher the gear the more it makes. When I floor it in 3rd at 2k rpm I get the 19.5 number, that's it.

At idle the car is showing 16-18 in/hg and when turned off the gauge goes to zero. Now, it could still be the gauge as it's a liquid filled and it might not be vented properly, but it should still reflect the 3psi over at WOT tapering down, which it doesn't. I'm posting here since I find that a lot of the Vishnu guys are pretty savvy, and since the XEDE is controlling boost I wonder if that's the culprit. I have never messed with the tune, it's still set at what Vishnu sent me.

Any ideas? This is why I tend to hate gauges.

Did you remove the boost pill in the line that goes to your wastegate control solenoid (as per instructions).

Don't expect to see too much boost with the factory exhaust still on. Even with the boost table maxed out (100s everywhere), you're not goint to see much more than 20psi peak with a noticeable taper down to 16-17 at redline. It's not until you open up the exhaust will you be able to run the 22-23psi others are reporting.

Shiv

ps. hook up your computer and download maps to the xede. Take a look at the boost table (labled "unknown") and see if 100s are in the entire table. Also, go to DIAGNOSTICS (top menu) and get XEDE INFO. See what map is in there (ie. Stage Subzero 91oct) and let us know.

Shiv,
Yes, the pill is no longer in the car. I decided it would be easier to replace the hose than get that damn pill out so that's not the gremlin. I thought factory numbers were 22psi peak tapering down to 19, guess it's my misunderstanding.
I suppose once I put in the cams and the stage one items (did they ship today?) I'll see what happens.
I can't hook anything up to the puter since I still DON'T have the data cable. Please include it with my exhaust, etc.

Thanks for the help Shiv, you rock,
Sam
