I am planning to head up to Vishnu for an Xede, tune and either cam gears or a set of 264's. I already have a turboback exhaust, what would be the better use of my cash, the cams or gears??

Cams, but go for the 272s. They idle fine and make a tiny bit more power.

 

I'd save up and get both. Installing both the cam gears and cam shafts at the same time will save you $$$ on labor. Also, I'd do some research to see how the more aggressive cams idle with the stock cam gears before going that route...
