OK i just got back from my local mitsubishi dealer for my 15K check up. I have a Stage 1 Sig installed but it keep giving me error lights. I asked the dealer to tell me what error codes I was showing, and this is what he game me;

PO420( no cat)
PO234(waste gate)
PO335(crank Sencor)
PO340(cam sensor)

Now my questions are; how do i fix this so it doesn't happen again, why did they come up in the first place, and could I have caused any damage to my car?

P0420 - Are you running catless? If so then it will throw a code unless you get the fix

P0234 - Do you have a boost gauge? If so what's your boost level? Could be your boost wire/line is not hooked up properly to Xede

P0335/340- Not sure why you're throwing those codes unless your cam gears aren't installed properly. Do you have aftermarket camshafts?

Did the dealer clear the codes? If it happens again go to Auto Zone and get the code read for free (all depends if you have Auto Zone there)

Does your dealer know you have aftermarket stuff on your car? I'm surprised he didn't make a big deal about it and void warranty.

I think more experienced folks and the vishnu crew can answer your questions better.

Ditto on the PO420 and the PO234. The crank and camshaft errors could be from stalling the car. That has been known to trigger the CEL. Just reset it and see if it comes on again.

Yup just came on during the ride home. I was just driving at 40mph and it just came on. No stalling at all. I am going to get it reset tomorrow by auto zone and see what codes they are. I am getting gauges in soon, I have to wait for a while so i can get a really good deal on them (defi BF). What fix do i need for the cat?

 

We have a CEL light fix for the cat efficiency code. $50 for XEDE users (75 for everyone else). Two minutes to install. Say goodbye to that code

What about the waste gate? Is the wastegate code showing up becasue i am boost spiking?
