Do you have lager injectors?
Do you have a reflash?

I would hit boost cut at 1.53bar

<---would boost cut at anything over 20lbs on a cool night, now i peak at 23psi in 5th gear with the flash with no problems.

Shiv did a custom tune on my car last summer and set the boost map to all 100's. The air temp in the dyno cell was at > 100F, per the dyno's temperature sensor. That said now that it has turned cold my 03 would run up to 1.6+ with no fuel cut and no reflash. So make of this what you may.

I tuned the boost map last weekend so that it makes some kind of sense. I might be ranting but I would really like the information needed (e.g. what input to use) to hook up a map sensor to the Xede to permit running closed loop boost control. I don't live in CA and the temps range from >100F in the summer to <<32F in the winter.

Me, too, I think. I've only had my XEDE (Stage Zero+) installed a few days, and I got a couple nasty jolts last night near 5,000 under WOP. My digital boost gauge read 22.4 psi and my intake air temp gauge read 64 °F. It was in the upper 30's outside. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I suppose I need the ECU reflash to raise the boost cutoff.

Yes or you will need larger injectors to scale the MAF down to avoild boost cut

Hiya,
The 03-04 EVOs (without XEDEFlash) will hit fuel cut around 22-23psi of boost. The 05 EVOs (without flash) won't hit fuel cut until around 25psi of boost. One reason we aren't in a rush to get the '05 flashes out yet. They don't need 'em yet...

With the colder weather setting in here in Wisconsin.....I have had serveral instances of boost cut. All summer long my boost gauge read 21PSI but now I am jumping up to 23 PSI. How much % of boost should I take out of the boost map to compensate?

Outside of a XEDEFlash is there any way to trick the computer into not cutting?

Lastly....is MAF cut and Boost cut the same thing?

Boost cut....maf cut...fuel cut....all the same....people just name em whatever they heard the last guy call it. Your car will boost its max in 5th gear at around 4500 rpm. Turn your boost tables down until you no longer hit fuel cut under those loads. Start off by decreasing it around say 5 to7 % see where that gets you. ( dont know your exact setup). Once you are no longer hitting it...highlight your whole boost table and do a pass. The cursor will have left the boost cells you are using yellow. Now go to the horizontal row above the highest cell you ever tracked through and decrease it by say 10% or so. This will ensure that if you ever go above your current setup you will not overboost and hit cut. Good luck man.

stock MAP sensor won't detect any boost higher than 1.2 bar. I think It is the Maf reading that determines the cut. you can have low boost but high Maf readings( this can happen when your engine is more efficient or your intake throws off Maf readings)
