tired of being dumb, could use some tuners help

Shiv, Andrew, anyone lol, I look at Andrew or shiv or anyother great tuner behind the wheel of a dyno and just gleem with amazement wishing I could do this, which I can but I need to learn.. This my friends leads to the point of the post. Can someone point me in the right direction of tuneing a car properly. Some literature or videos, schools anything. I want to learn the theroy do's and dont's etc.

Tuning is certainly not easy. After spending hours on the dyno with shiv, i still only have a loose grasp of what it actualy takes to make the kind of power he does. Tuning is comparable to driving in many ways. In order to be good at it, you need one of two things: a good teacher, or a natural talent. But like driving, seat time is the most important.

Tuning is all about being able to spot trends, deductive reasoning, and a firm understanding of how combustion engines work. The better one is at all of these, the better tuner they will be.

Ehhhh what do I know?

tuning engines is actually very easy esp if you have a piggy back program like exede w/ basemaps. best way to actually do it is buy the tools and just start going at it on your own car. maybe the evo is too expensive to experiment w/ and you can buy a cheap car like a honda to toy with.
