Nearly out of available cats

Very cool software but I’m running out of cats for the animal sacrifice portion of the 2 map upload sequence:

load a map set, close the software, disconnect the laptop, turn off the engine, disembowel a cat, throw the map switch, restart the car, plug in the laptop, start up the software, hop 3 times on one leg, call up the second map set file, upload into the exede, wave your arms like you just don’t care, burn the map. If I’m lucky it won’t have burned over both maps the same but it usually takes a couple tries to actually get two separate maps in there. Very cool software capabilities but yeesh what a pain.

Will the new 3.0 version let you load 2 map banks at the same time?

LOL!!!!!!!!!

After a while it doesn't require as many cats. IIRC, all I do is upload, burn, close file, switch banks, upload new file, load, burn, close. I haven't found it necessary to disconnect the Xede or even turn off the engine.

This may only work after both banks have been initially loaded (or a sufficient number of cats have been offered). I don't recall the original load sequence (or the exact number of cats consumed during the process) but it is probably exactly as you described.

It's always faster to go catless...

Yep I've never had to disconnect the XEDE/restart engine either to load 2 different maps. Only thing I run into is it ends up naming both banks the same, but there are definitely 2 different maps in there.

Funny story. When I change maps, I just turn off the car, put the black and red wires together, start my car. Presto.

It seems your post is about getting the two maps loaded initially. Yes, that is a bit more involved but still easy enough.
