Anyone out there have any issues with lower performance with the 05 subzero maps that have been posted.??
Bone stock 05 with XEDE and 05 maps feels slow and boost only around 1.3bar.
If i load up the old subzero map (from the website) then i get around 1.5 bar and the car runs good.

And yes... the brass pill is out.

Anyone else run into this???

Any other subzero maps out there for a 05??

I know every car is different, and i plan on getting it dyno tuned, but i would like to get it close until i have time to do it.

 

I may be in the same boat as you are ... I am also seeing about 1.3 KG/CM2 MAX on the boost gage which is about 18.5 psi.

This is using the base 05 Xede map from Vishnu.

I also notice that my gas mileage is lousy (13-15mpg) and that the tail pipe is very dark and filled with soot.

My friend is running his 05 stock with cam gears (-5, -5) and he noticed that his car feels stronger than my 05 MR.

Perhaps the map is tuned conservatively, but I really think that it is running way too rich and boost pressure is questionable.

yea... exactly. Im kinda confused... our our cars that different than others?? Im seen other post about 05's and the sub zero and they say they rock and roll??

Dude what old map? I only know of one subzero map for the xede for 05s.

 

if you go to the vishnu web site, the sub zero map you can download from there is for the 03 or 04 evo's. There are specific 05 subzero maps that shiv has posted on this forum.
If you compare the two, there are small diffirences in all the maps except for the boost map... there are big diffrences in it.

 

I have an 05' and had them preload a stock (sub zero) map into my xede before they shipped it to me. I'm getting a cat back and need a new map. Where did you find the 05' maps? I did not see any posts by shiv.

For those interested, here is what i have done so far and the seat of the pants resultst
I took the 05 subzero 93 octane map and inserted the boost tables from the 03 subzero 93 octane map, then adjusted all cells down 5%.
Results were mediocre... Car still felt really fat and would boost to around 1.3 bar.

This morning i loaded the old 03 subzero 93 octane map with the entire boost table adjusted down 5%.
Much better. Car does not feel fat anymore but boost was only around 1.4 bar....

I think this map will work until shiv can maybe update a new one.

 

Very interested in these new 05 subzero maps! Please send us the files Shiv.
Are these different from the previous 05 map you posted late last year?

The 05 map that i was having issues with was the one posted in Nov 04. Those were the only ones i could find that specifically said 05

 

here is another try....
Took the 03 subzero map and dropped the boost table by 3%. Also make the lowest trottle position at 0's (to keep the solonid from clacking).
Runs better.... Boost will see 1.5 bar down in the low r's then tapers to around 1.4 up top.

From listnening closely, i dont hear any knocking
