That car was done at MAC Autosport in Parker CO at an elevation of ~6000ft.
You're looking at a chart w/ a 1.26-1.28 correction factor applied. Those numbers should not be compared to sea level numbers. These will be inflated for obvious reasons.

not gonna happen....and we all know that. I bet that if you put a 16g on a STI, it would be just as fast, if not faster than an EVO.
Hell, there are more than a few people with 500whp with a gt30-35 and supporting fuel, intercooler mods....my intention of this thread wasnt to bash smog or anyone, just intended to open some eyes.

The fact is, several stock turboed Evos have put 400whp down on a dynojet. This is with a smaller turbo than that particular STi has (TD05 housing 16G) and a half liter handicap. This alone proves that an STi with a TD05 will NOT be just as fast or faster than an Evo, but thanks for playing. Also, that car has an injector upgrade. Smoggie's doesn't. You could argue that Tom and I have a turbo upgrade with our titanium 16Gs, but we really don't. Its still a 16G with only a bigger hot side.
The thing I don't like about the US STi its fragile big engine that doesn't like big power or revving that much with stock internals. The Japanese EJ207 is a much better power plant IMO.
All that is a moot point, though, because you're posting about somebody else's car. I could post about the Turbotrix car that ran nines and point out that no US model Subaru with a stock tranny has done that. The real question is, will YOUR car put down that kind of power? Will your car pull on Smog's? If not, you need to stop making posts like this and disengage your ego from your browser. Its getting tiresome and just wasting bandwidth when you make silly comparisons like you are that are not based in reality.

I like STis and WRXs a lot! Some of my best friends have them, and I've made dyno posts of them myself. What I haven't done, though, is make these goofy comparisons that just breed animosity. Take a chill and just relax a little bit. Posting STi graphs is cool. Making replies like the one above are a total waste of time and make people dislike you.

Moving on, before anyone else desides to vent, maybe we should just erase the thread.
