speaking of V-power. i went to the track last night for the first time since cams and 10.5 ran a 12.4@108 on pump gas.

my buddy, with same mods except he has upper IC pipe and a UTEC trapped 113 and some change on 93/100 mix. whats up with that?

oh yeah, and he doesn't have the hotside so i think that more than makes up for him having that IC piping.

12.4/108 on pump gas is 1 second and 8 mph better than stock. Nothing to complain about. Nice job. That is one of the fastest pump gas times I have seen with your level of mods.

Run better gas. More octane = more boost =faster. Get it tuned for 100 oct bra and you will see V powa.

i got tuned for 107 octane bra, and only gained 10whp. although, i couldn't run more than 23-24psi on the dyno though. but still, this falling to 17psi at redline is pissing
me off. with my race gas map, i would have gained 1.5mph or so. ima try a manual boost controller.

Bro,
Take a step back for a minute. First of all, I agree you should be pushing a couple more mph. But lets get the facts straight. First, here is a boost chart for my car with a few more mods than yours:

Look at my boost: it tapers all the way to 16psi. I still ran 11.9 with it.

Do me a favor and post a link to your dyno chart or tell me more about what numbers you are making. Also, what are your supporting mods? Head studs? Intercooler?

Ok, i don't have my chart. but andrew tuned my car and he was having problems with it, not his fault, just car wasn't cooperating.

as far as mods, i have

HKS 264i, 272e cams
cam gears set at -3,-3
dump back exhaust 3" no cat
Xede
10.5 cm hotside

i made 290whp on andrew's dyno on 93 octane and only 300 on 107 octane. could not get more than 23psi of boost out of my car on the dyno, even with a bleeder. i have put in a bigger bleeder since, just to see, and see right at 24.5psi. i unplugged the vac hose from the solenoid(where the stock pill is) and did a 4th gear pull to watch the boost rise slowly to see if i could get above 24, but i didn't. im going to replace the stock BOV and see if that is why. i don't have my sheets on the comp where i can post them, sorry.

but, i could send you my xede maps. timing is almost zeroed out on the race gas table with an afr of about 12.2 on the race gas. i pulled a 1.70 short time at the track, don't see any room for improvment on that with the stock clutch, its really my MPH that im ticked about.

whatever help you can offer would be appreciated, because the UTEC guy was blistering fast on only 96octane or so.

and please explain to me someone, why the boost falls off sooo much with an xede? people running boost controllers can hold 19-20psi at 7600, my utec pal holds 22 all the way...why can't the xede?

His times are good but several comparably equiped Xede cars have done better. Your setup is capable of 12.2/112 on 93 octane. I did 12.2/112 on my 91 octane map with 92.3octane in the tank. You are jumping ship way too soon. Work out your issues first, or else you will just have the same problems with your next approach (but less money in your pocket).

Yes one bleeder line. I had a greddy type s, both springs in and cranked down almost as tight as it will go. I made absolutely sure I had no boost leaks or restrictions (clamps tight, ic pipingand hoses not binding anywhere down by the ic, etc.)

so, how you think a BOV will increase my power that much on pump gas? i don't understand that.
