XEDEFlash and Boost/fuel cut

Ok, I think what I am expereinceing is normal. I have installed a stage 1+ recently on my car. If I am in WOT or just really on the gas when 4500-5000 rpm's hits I hit fuel cut and shoot flames out the tail pipe. I have not done the Xedeflash as of yet. I plan on sending in my ECU at the end of this month. What I need to know is, is this normal because I haven't had the ECU XEDEFlashed yet? Or is something else going on. I only have the Blitz DCII TT/Boost gage so I am not confident in the boost it's reading. But it says I can peak as high as 1.7hkPa or about 25psi. That seems high, but again I don't necessarily trust this gage either.

Anyone with experience with this, please give your 2cents.

Thanks,
UncleXSO

Yep, perfectly normal. Turn down the boost or get the Xede Flash.

Thanks JP98SS! Anyone else care to leave their 2 cents? How about the 25PSI peaks?

I have the xflash and XEDE and I just bought a mbc to turn the boost down as my tuner(devotuning) told me it was dangerous to the engine to hit 25-26 psi? He turned it down to 22 psi.

Don't worry about the boost Shiv knows what he is doing. You may need to scale things back a bit though if you have a test pipe. Just back it off until you miss fuel cut or get the flash.

Yes, 25-26 psi will result in the much feared 4g63 death code...

And as many exede's, exceed's, and XEDE's as I've seen....I think this is the first time I've seen an "exeed". Congrats!

I believe there was a thread on here on how to use the Xmap software to knock down the boost a bit. I haven't had much luck finding it. Can someone either point to the thread or give some insight on what exactly I need to do. Thanks for your help guys.

Open the boost table, highlight all the non-zero values, and then press the '<' key (shift-comma) to lower the values incrementally until you get the boost down where you want it.

The boost table on the Xeeeeeeeede software is sometimes marked "unknown"
Pay more attention to reducing boost below 5000rpm...leave the lowest row at zero

Make sure when going from a MBC to an xede you have the lower pill in the line otherwise you will have a problem making any boost..

Thanks guys. I will give that a shot tomorrow. Wife has the laptop tonight.

Dyno4mance, I'm not using a MBC and I have the pill out. Did you mean it should be in or out?
