EBC with XEDE
Well, I'm sure he's already running custom lines to his wastegate for his EBC.
ec999, you're going to give up a lot of functionality of your XEDE by running an EBC.
The XEDE has an electronic boost controller built in that allows the XEDE to not only control boost, but vary it depending upon a number of variables including RPM. I'm not familiar with the AVC-R, but if it can vary boost with RPM, you're going to need to have the car custom tuned to set up the boost curve properly to compliment the XEDE. Furthermore, if you decide to take advantage of the dual map capability of the XEDE, the variation of boost between maps gets eliminated unless the AVC-R can store multiple boost maps, at which point you'll need to switch maps on both units, and forgetting one or the other will either hurt power or damage your motor. Lastly, the XEDE can pull boost as a safety measure when it detects knock, a misfire, etc. If you use your EBC you will lose this safety feature.
So in short, yes, it can work, and you can just skip the step involving the pill in the wastegate line, and probably the boost wire under the dash too. But I really don't recommend this avenue.
