Question eeprom?

what does the burning to eeprom do? does it flash my ecu? If im running 2 diffrent maps do they both work if I burn 1 to eeprom?

I think what it means is that you will be burning that map into the specified memory slot in the Xede. You are not burning it into your ECU. At least this is my take on things...

Not burning your map to the EPROM just puts the information in to the XEDE's volatile memory (if you turn of the power, you lose the data) this is used for tuning and such. If you want to use 2 different maps and you don't want to reload them every time you start the car, you must burn the first one with the map switching wires disconnected, turn off the car, connect the switching wires, then burn the second one (after turning the car on). If you haven't burned the map then most likely you haven't been using them. Switching between maps now is a simple matter of connecting or disconnecting the switching wires (can be done with the car running or off). This does not affect your ECU once so ever.
