What happens to the LED on the XEDE when this happens? Does it flicker Red/Orange.? does it stay solid green?

I haven't checked.... I know it is installed correctly because I get a solid green light. I'm going to pull the xede down from behind the glovebox and let it sit on the floor for awhile and see what happens. Any ideas on what it may be though shiv?

Hard to say at this point. The light on the XEDE needs to stay constant green when the engine is running. If it flickers for even an instant, it shows that something is wrong. The only time the XEDE LED shouldn't be solid green is when the engine is running but the key is "ON" when it should flash orange. Or when you switch maps when the LED turns Red for a second or two before it turns solid green again.

I am curious about this violent hicup. I get one on pulls in 4th at high rpms like 4-5000k. But it only shows up usually when its nite and the temperture is cold.. What is this a fuel cut?

mine has happened whether it was cold or not. I'm not sure what this is. I don't get a violent hiccup like some of you are describing. Mine is more of just a boost lost between those rpms.... I feel a lost of power, but it seems like it is due to the HUGE boost drop, then it will climb right back up to full boost.

I dont have an exde but I do have a flash and my car dose kinda the same thing. In 4th gear if you step on it once it gets up to 4k it like bucks or stumbles for a quick second. I usually get off it then so dont know if it happens after that. Any help would be great.

I think our problem has more to do with an evo equipped with a xede, but you never know.

Mine seems to do it more when its warm or humid.

I posted a bunch in this forum a while ago.

My game plan going forward is to get on a dyno w/ a wideband & look at the AFR's. I also thought that I may be running out of injector at WOT due to my head being ported & some additional mods that I have - unfortunately until I do that I still don't have an answer.

hiccup

What is the maximum boost you see at high rpms? If it spikes over 24 to 25 then your ecu may be cutting boost. If the boost is too high, turn it down in the XMap2 software.

boost is at 19-20psi... I don't think it is boost cut.

I have the same issue which I would relate to boost cut because if I turn down the boost (I have a hallman rx pro in dash) it would go away ... usually happens when boost is turned way up or when it gets colder out and the boost spikes ... Good luck!

This seems to be a common problem between Xede owners. I'm thinkin about getting one but, I'm kinda unsure now.

UPDATE:

Ok while coming back from my lunch break I noticed the same problem again. No red light on my xede (that I was able to catch anyways)... Anyways the problem persisted even more... I was not able to boost past 11psi... in any gear... So I think well maybe a hose popped off so I get to work pop my hood check all my hoses and everything seems secure and nothing had popped off. Ok so I unplug my xede then plug it back in then went for a little cruise. I'm able to boost normally again. Something seems to be going wrong with the XEDE. I wish I was able to provide more data, but I'm unsure how to do so. Someone at VISHNU chime in on this? shiv?
